Meet Franchisee Nicola MaddisonNicola, Rosemary Conley franchisee for Stevenage, Hitchin and surrounding area, was a professional dancer so being weight conscious and active has always been part of my life. Nicola's mum joined her local Rosemary Conley Club with Sandra Harnett years ago and recommended the diet when Nicola wanted to lose weight before her wedding. Nicola also used the diet to help her lose some baby weight after her two sons, Cub and Sonny. She saw the franchise opportunity in the magazine, went to an Open Day and went to Lindsey Peters’, Sandra Harnett’s and Susie Wyeth’s classes. Nicola knew it was the second career for her. The diet and the exercise is the perfect combination.

Meet Franchisee Sandra ToddSandra, Rosemary Conley franchisee for Worcestershire, did a degree in jewellery and silversmithing design and manufacturing then went on to work as a manager for a high street jewellers. After having her son, Harry, the role she had would not accept her back working part time. It was too far to travel on a basic wage so Sandra had to rethink her career and change it to fit in with her family. Sandra needed something challenging and rewarding. She had lost 3st following Rosemary Conley back in 2000 and it was her husband that kept pushing Sandra for 12 months to go to an Open Day at Quorn House to find out more about the franchise. She have never looked back.

Andrea, Rosemary Conley franchisee for Swansea, Neath and West Glamorgan, used to attend lots of fitness classes. One day Andrea realised that teaching exercise to music would be something that she would really like to do, so she set out to find out what was required and soon found herself signed up ready to do "Exercise to Music". Andrea loved it even though the training was intense. Because she worked during the week Andrea did the course over the weekends.
After Andrea achieved her qualification, she went on to add more disciplines, Aqua, Step, Pilate's, 50+, Core stability and more along the way.

Meet Franchisee Susannah WyethSusannah attended a Rosemary Conley class to lose weight before her wedding back in 2007. It became the first time in her life that she got into exercise and running – managing to lose 2st 7lb. Susannah had always wanted to run her own business so combining her new passion with a long time ambition just made sense. She loves the unique mix of diet and exercise within the diet and fitness clubs – "it not only tells you what to do but makes you do it!" says Susannah.

Meet Franchisee Karen MurrieKaren worked for 15 years in the travel industry but after having her children, Cameron and Morgan, she was looking for a new challenge. Karen always loved sport and exercise and had followed the Rosemary Conley Hip and Thigh diet which she loved. Karen then found out that the Rosemary Conley clubs is a franchise business and went to the Open Day and was so impressed with the whole set up she became a Franchisee!

Meet Franchisee Freda MacdonaldFreda Macdonald, who runs the North Wales franchise, realised after losing her father very suddenly in 2007, that she wasn't happy with her work/home life balance. Her job required lots of travelling and overnight stays away from home. Fredas had alway's been keen on exercise, but had never been able to find the time, so choosing a career where exercise was an integral part of it, really appealed. This seemed like a perfect new challenge where she could channel her energy into building her own business based on helping others achieve their goals.

Meet Franchisee Lesley MitchellLesley Mitchell, who runs the North London, Enfield and Edmonton franchise, celebrated her 60th birthday this year. Lesley loves running the franchise so much, she shows no signs of slowing down her business, in fact, Lesley hopes to continue to carry on doing what she considers to be an important career for many years to come.
Says Lesley: “For my big birthday, my members gave me a book in which they had written the most amazing comments – I love this job!”

Meet Franchisee Rachel Burton43-year old Rachel Burton has run the South Bucks, High Wycombe, North Maidenhead franchise for the past 14 years. She had been an aerobics instructor for eight years before then but had always wanted a business of her own.
Rachel loves working out with her members and meeting them week after week, as well as seeing their progress. “They are like my extended family,” says Rachel, who likes nothing better than achieving a slimmer of the year in her classes.

Meet Franchisee Louise OliverLouise Oliver has run the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs franchise in Oxford since August 2005 after previously working in Management Accounts for a housing association for ten years.
Following the birth of her twin boys in 1993 and her daughter in 1998, Louise found that her weight had grown to an unhealthy 17 stone, so, when she decided it was time to do something about it, Louise went along with two friends to her local Rosemary Conley Class in Oxford, where she succeeded in shedding 4 stone.

Meet Franchisee Sarah SkeltonWhen Sarah Skelton started work as an optician’s receptionist, she never expected she would end up running her own business. But, by working and studying hard, Sarah became a dispensing optician and went on to run a Specsavers’ franchise. Sarah joined her local Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Club in an attempt to shed the excess weight she’d gained over the years and, along with gaining a brand new figure, Sarah acquired a brand new career, too.

Meet Franchisee Christine WhistlecroftChristine grew up in Bolton and on leaving school she was uncertain about what career to follow. She chose a career in travel and spent time working in the South of France. Having started to exercise regularly to help with her own weight loss, Christine discovered she had a real love of exercise and she qualified as an Exercise to Music instructor. Christine’s qualifications were put to good use when she became a Rosemary Conley franchisee in Wigan in September 2002. Christine continued to build her business progressively until January 2006 when she significantly increased her marketing spend. As a result, her business has grown strongly ever since.
