We use the Facebook 'Like' button on every page of the 'Magazine' section of our website. This allows users to share these particular regularly updated pages with their friends/contacts. The 'Like' button detects if visitors have 'Liked' the particular page they are on and uses this information to present either a “Like” button or a greyed out “You Liked this” button instead from Facebook. If a user is not logged in to Facebook, no cookies should be served. If a user is logged in to Facebook, the “Like” button creates and/or updates a series of third-party cookies.

Use of Flash files

Flowplayer

Pages featuring video use Flowplayer to play the video content. Flowplayer remembers a users preferences/ settings, such as a chosen video volume level, and if the sound was muted or not, as 'Flash local shared objects'. These settings will then be used for all the videos viewed on our website until a user changes them again. These 'Flash Cookies' can also be used to provide us with video view statistics (the number of views of a particular video etc). Again these can be disabled as above.
