Walk, jog or run the 5km Race for Life this year and you can raise money for Cancer Research UK and get slimmer and fitter at the same time!

Now in it’s 17th year, Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life continues to be the most successful female-only fundraising event across the UK – and one supported by many Rosemary Conley Club members. Not only is training for such an event a fabulous way of getting fitter and slimmer, but doing it for charity will make you feel doubly good.

If you’ve never entered a race before, it can seem daunting. That’s why we’ve come up with an exclusive eight-week training programme for you to follow. This programme will help you get fit and be prepared for the 5km (3.1 mile) challenge – whether you chose to walk or jog it. Carefully planned, it will help you progress at a steady rate to reach your goal!

Using your 8-week training programme

Click here to download your own 8 week training programme It is your progress training tool whether you wish to walk or run the event. Simply download the programme, print it out and pin it to a wall where you can see it and fill it in. Choose the walking or the running programme and follow it for 8 weeks. As you train, fill out the progress chart with your times and distances achieved to track your progress. There is also a motivational scoring system you can use to help!
