Suzanne Rawle with RosemaryHello and welcome to the home page of Suzanne Rawle. I have been running Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Classes since 2002. I work with one instructor, Sam (my daughter). We would like to help you become slimmer, trimmer, fitter and healthier.

Each week we run classes throughout the Salisbury, Romsey, Waterside area of Southampton, Fordingbridge, and Wilton areas where around 350 members take part in one of our special slimming and exercise classes. Why not come along and see what we can do for you?

We are fully qualified to teach exercise to music with special experience to teach the overweight or newcomer to exercise and are highly trained in nutrition so we know we can help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Losing weight is not always easy but it is something that Sam and myself have achieved, with the help of a Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Club.

I originally attended classes in my area and successfully lost over a stone with the help and motivation I received in the classes. However, I piled it all back on when I gave up smoking in 2001. I continued with the classes until I managed to lose it again! The instructor mentioned in class that she was selling the business and I made an initial tentative call to her as I was feeling disheartened with my NHS administration job where I had worked for 18 years in various departments.

That was in the April of 2002. By August of that year I had qualified and taken over the business and here I still am without looking back! I was lucky to have the support of my husband who told me if I could give up smoking I could achieve anything! Sam attended my classes following the birth of her first child, Harry, and during pregnancy and after the birth of my second grandchild, Millie to help with the pregnancy weight gain. She has lost over 3 stones and now runs a number of classes for me in Salisbury and Fordingbridge!

Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs have been in operation since 1993 and Rosemary has over forty years’ experience in helping people to slim down and shape up, so you could not be in better hands.

As ours is the only national organisation to offer dietary advice AND exercise in the same weekly class, there is no better place for you to lose weight and get fit. Even if you haven’t exercised for a long time, I can adapt the exercises to suit all abilities. However, if you don’t wish to join in the 45-minute exercise session, that’s fine with us!

A typical class consists of a weigh-in, a short motivational talk offering nutritional help and advice and the all important exercise to music workout, which lasts for just 45 minutes and focuses on fun and enjoyment.
 

If you do want to join in the exercise session please bring with you a bottle of water and wear loose, comfortable clothing and a pair of training shoes. Many members wear leggings and a T-shirt, but whatever you feel happy exercising in is fine with us.
Our classes are friendly, fun, relaxed, and welcoming and there’s a great atmosphere in class. No one is made to feel embarrassed and your weigh-in is very discreet, so, apart from my staff and me no one else will know how much you weigh. If you are thinking of joining on your own, as many of my members do, there's no need to worry you're soon amongst friends at a Rosemary Conley class. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a little or a large amount of weight to lose. We can help you and we’re with you every step of the way.

We work as a team and it doesn’t matter whose class you come along to, our teaching styles are different but our classes have similar content. We make exercises suitable for all levels of ability – so even if you’ve not exercised for a long time or you have a lot of weight to lose you can still join in.
We pride ourselves and our members in also taking part in charitable events such as Race for Life and Aerobathon events. This year our Aerobathon raised £820 for two local hospital cancer charities which was absolutely fantastic and we are hoping to do this again in 2012!

Sam and I are now both trained to teach Zumba and are pleased to offer this exciting form of exercise at 5 of our weekly classes. As a trained and qualified Exercise to Music Instructors with 14+ years experience between us we are able to adapt Zumba to suit all our members including overweight and those who may not have exercised before.


To stop you getting bored there are different class formats. Many members come along to more than one class per week - joining one of our Premier Club options offers you great value for money if you do come along more than once a week - see below for more details.

SLIM’N’AEROBICS and this is usually followed by toning or balance work and may include the use of bands / weights.
CIRCUIT CLASSES are introduced about every 5-6 weeks which is great fun as we workout in small groups to “sing-along-if-you-want-to” music and weights / bands may be used.
ZUMBA classes are held for those who like to wiggle their hips and perform basic dance moves set to music with a Latin/World flavour.
SALSA-CISE  is occasionally introduced into the aerobics sessions for those who like hot Latin rhythms
HOOPING FOR FITNESS COURSES - run at different locations throughout the year! Call me for details!

We have something for everyone!
Our expertise is kept up to date by attending regular training sessions with Rosemary and her fabulous team so you can be assured of up-to-the-minute advice and knowledge.

Our classes cost just £5.95 and there’s a one-off joining fee of £10.00 for your membership and diet pack. If you are staying for the exercise session, the entire class lasts for approximately 90 minutes, please ensure you arrive promptly at your first class as there is some paperwork to be completed. The weigh-in and talk is at the end of the Zumba sessions, so again please arrive at the start time to complete some paperwork and register.
